Aims of the IAESTE network:
To keep good relations with the companies already part of the IAESTE
network, maintaining the good relationship with them. To show how much
we care and think about the companies we are working with. Provided a
possibility for company representatives to meet with other companies
and other trainees, press people and LC members.
To promote the fame of IAESTE worldwide (hit the news!), to help
people to get to know our long acronym and understand what the
association stands for. To find new sponsors on a local, the national
as well as the international level. Furthermore, to establish new
contacts with companies to increase the number or offers for the next
year.
Idea and general concept:
All of our Local Committees
(LCs) are able to organize informational events. Those events usually
take place in rooms provided by the local university or college are
organized and carried out by the members of the LC and usually end with
a little get together in the evening to attract new members.
The concept of the IAESTE-Day is to join the efforts of as
many LCs worldwide as possible to create one global information- and
party event. Of course the first IAESTE-Day should not have more than
10 countries participating to gain the right first experiences managing
such an event but the final goal (e.g. after 5 years) should be a day
with more than 100 LCs participating.
What is IAESTE all about?
To be a source of cultural enrichment for trainees and their host communities
= to promote international understanding and goodwill amongst students, academic institutions, employers and the wider community
= IAESTE operates irrespective of race, colour, sex or creed
So in short, foreign students shall open their minds up for new
people and countries to make this happening something unforgettable :)
The IAESTE-Day project
- Is intended to promote IAESTE internationally.
- The IAESTE-Day project is NOT an official event of IAESTE A.s.b.l.
- IAESTE Day is a national event and the responsibility for its
organization and content is solely up to the participating member
country.
- Is organized by participating NCs and LCs in various IAESTE
countries. The countries themselves decide wether or not they want to
participate - the IAESTE-Day project is run on a voluntary basis.
